RFID jewelry tracking

RFID jewelry tracking: count in minutes, locate in seconds.

Tag every piece once and use the same RFID tag for fast stock-takes, item search and anti-theft protection at the door — all connected to your jewelry inventory.

Manual stock counts in a jewelry store can take hours and still miss pieces. RFID changes that: instead of scanning items one by one, a handheld reader reads hundreds of tags at once, even inside trays and showcases.

The Jewel Software has RFID jewelry tracking built in — from encoding tags at stock-in, to full store counts, to locating a single ring, to The Jewel Software RFID Antitheft Gate that raises an alarm when a tagged piece leaves the store.

FAQ

RFID jewelry tracking — questions & answers

How does RFID work for jewelry?

Each piece carries a small RFID tag. A reader detects many tags at once without line of sight, so you can count trays and showcases in minutes instead of scanning items one by one.

Is RFID worth it for a small jewelry store?

Stores that count stock often save many hours per month and catch missing items immediately. Try the RFID time-savings calculator on our homepage to estimate your own savings.

What is the RFID Antitheft Gate?

The Jewel Software RFID Antitheft Gate is installed at the entrance. When an unsold tagged piece passes through, it raises an alarm, and its built-in touch screen shows staff the item’s photo, code and time. Alerts are kept in a history log.

Can I use RFID and barcodes together?

Yes. Labels can carry both a barcode and an RFID chip, so you can scan at the counter and count by RFID.
